Research Fellow

**Who We Are**:
New Energy Nexus Thailand is building an ecosystem of clean energy entrepreneurs working on solutions to address this regional energy growth and the climate change situation. We launched our Thailand program in 2017 and have supported over 30 startup teams so far. We support entrepreneurs to create new innovative energy startups that will help to build the nation’s clean energy economy and run programs with corporate partners to help them decarbonize their emissions.

We are now looking for a full-time Program Associate based in Bangkok. The position will support the New Energy Nexus Thailand program to ensure successful implementation of the energy startup program and related activities including designing and implementing energy meetups, training bootcamps and acceleration programs in collaboration with partner organizations.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
**Project Description**

The ecosystem mapping is a research task to map the relevant stakeholder of the Thailand Renewable Energy Ecosystem. The fellow is responsible to gather insights, information and produce a high quality document referred to as the ecosystem mapping. The research includes relevant stakeholders involved in the energy sector of Thailand across sectors, understanding their responsibilities, influence, and pain points. The fellow will be tasked with desktop research and compile the information. Conduct initial reflective interviews on the data researched and coordinate with the NEX team. Design of the final report should be included.

**Objectives**
- Overview of relevant stakeholders in Thailand
- Understanding of their responsibilities and pain points
- Funding options of each stakeholder if applicable
- Possible opportunities for NEX to engage with each stakeholder.

**Scope of Work**

The roles and responsibilities of the Career Fellows during the 3-months fellowship attach to the above mentioned project are as follow:

- Ecosystem Mapping Thailand of Renewable Energy
- Gather Logos of the stakeholders, divided into categories
- Introduction & Conclusion
- Desktop research on stakeholders
- Reflective interview on research
- Report design. (Branding and template available)

**Requirements**:
**Minimum Requirements**:

- Professional knowledge or experience in the energy sector in Thailand
- Experience conducting desktop research, compiling, and investigating
- Experience in conducting and compiling research
- Written English proficiency
- Ability to work independently in coordination with Thailand Team
- Professional fluency in Thai and English is a must*

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Energy sector background or degree
