**BRIEF DESCRIPTION**

APCO's internship program seeks to provide students with valuable and substantive work experience and strives to involve the interns in all aspects of a communications consultancy. APCO's interns become integral team members on a multitude of accounts, providing critical support while learning more about the industry as a whole.

While intern responsibilities vary between projects, they typically include research, writing and various client support. The interns are also encouraged to attend practice group, staff and brainstorm meetings, as well as to get involved in the company's social events. Overall, interns are encouraged to become an integral part of the company and of any project team, and every effort is made to ensure their experience at APCO is a substantive and positive one.

Interns at APCO’s Thailand office will be responsible for supporting consultants on various existing and upcoming projects. Specific responsibilities may include the following:
**- Media Monitoring**:Conduct comprehensive monitoring of relevant news from local and regional outlets. Identify and highlight mentions of clients, key issues, and trending stories to ensure clients remain informed and responsive to the latest developments.

**- Policy Monitoring**:Systematically monitor political and policy developments in Thailand by sourcing information from government websites, news outlets, and other relevant platforms. Develop concise and insightful reports to update clients on government priorities and their potential impact on client operations.

**- Translation Services**:Provide accurate and timely English-Thai and Thai-English translation support for client materials, including media interviews, press releases, and social media content.

**- Media Pitching**:Develop story angles for clients and proactively pitch them to target media outlets. Secure media coverage and compile clipping reports to demonstrate the effectiveness of outreach efforts.

**- Research and Reporting**:Support the preparation of monthly reports for various clients on specified issues and undertake ad-hoc research tasks as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS**

**Education**:Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate institution, majoring in Political science (international relations), Social science and/or English.

**Language**:Excellent English and Thai translation, research, writing and editing skills.

**Stipend**:Per diem of THB 500

**Work schedule**:M inimum 3 full days per week

**Identity**:Thai citizen or, if non-Thai, hold a valid education visa and residency permit for Thailand

**Working arrangement**:Flexible. We have a workstation available, but it is not mandatory to be in the office.
