Role Purpose

PMO is responsible for the financial management of the multiple projects that constitute the Desktop Portfolio. The projects are delivering core platform capabilities, shared components and/or shared services for LSEG Desktop.

The technology delivery teams are currently enhancing a range of powerful Applications that help customers understand the markets and make crucial decisions while helping them to connect to the world’s largest verified directory of financial professionals on a platform that acts as a catalyst for innovation in global financial services industry.

The Finance PMO will manage the Portfolio budget reporting of c. £30m within a team of 5 PMO analysts. The projects vary in size and complexity, but will be within LSEG’s Desktop Platform portfolio, bridging the gap between technology and business change to deliver on the wider business strategy.

The role requires relationship management with portfolio managers, group finance, project leads across multiple global locations, financial stakeholders in other parts of the organisation for key platforms.

**Responsibilities**:
Key responsibilities
- Builds effective relationships to ensure the success of the financial reporting
- Identifies and manages project and programme financials within Desktop and across D&A
- Manages project cost reporting for the successful completion of each project to agreed constraints.
- Implement effective communication plan and operating rhythm, including provision of regular and accurate reports.
- Monitors costs and resources used, and takes action where these deviate from agreed tolerances. Ensures that Project and Programme Managers are tracked to these criteria.
- Manages the project budget request process and performs regular financial reviews, tracking and measuring financial performance and key metrics against plan and validating financial forecasts
- Ensures all projects adhere to LSEG Group Standards for project methodology, governance and risk management.
- Additional activities in support of other PMO members may be a requirement, such as RAID management, Power BI group facilitation of status reviews

Leadership responsibilities
- Experience of working in large matrix organisation.
- Working with stakeholders in technology, product and business.
- Ability to communicate effectively.

Critical deliverables
- Financial reporting for all projects, group reporting and project financial reports into Group Finance, Portfolio, Business Management, Business units and Project teams

Technical / job functional knowledge
- Microsoft Office suite advanced capability
- Microsoft Excel advanced data query skills
- Power BI skills advantageous
- ERP experience
- Data manipulation skills
- Clarity experience an advantage
- Budgeting expertise of £20m+ portfolios of work
- Agile knowledge advantageous

- Experience working in a regulated financial environment
