Summary

The System Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the software architecture for our organization’s applications. This includes working with stakeholders to understand their needs, designing and implementing solutions that meet those needs, and ensuring that the applications are scalable, reliable, and secure.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop the software architecture for new and existing applications
  • Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements
  • Develop technical specifications and documentation
  • Give direction and suggestion in all technical perspectives to stakeholders and development teams
  • Lead the development team in implementing the architecture
  • Design that the application landscape in microservices concept under the cloud infrastructure
  • Ensure that the applications are scalable, reliable, and secure
  • Participate in architecture reviews and decision-making
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
  • Happy to work in hybrid work policy - Not over 3 days/week in an office
  • 3+ years of experience in software architecture design or technical leading
  • 7+ years of experience in software development
  • Strong understanding of system design and programming
  • Experience with a variety of software development tools and technologies
  • Experience working with Agile and mature processes (DevOps, quality management, CI/CD, automation etc.)
  • Proficiency in architecture of both on-premises and cloud (GCP, AWS, Asure) solutions
  • Highly experienced in server development in any of stacks: Go, C#, Node.js, Typescript
  • Experience in Architecture and Development of Web Apps (SPA or PWA). Any of: React (preferable), Angular, Vue
  • Understanding microservices and related technologies, e.g. Docker (OpenShift, Kubernetes or Swarm), Kafka, etc
  • Expertise in Architectural and Design Patterns, core Computer Science subjects e.g. data structures and algorithms
  • Experience in designing databases, SQL and noSQL (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis)
  • Experience in API gateways e.g. Kong or similar technologies
  • Good overall knowledge in digital security and privacy subjects (OWASP, OAuth 2, SAML, encryptions, regulations)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
