About the role
Supervise and coordinate all Front Office operations during the assigned shift, ensuring smooth and efficient service from pre-arrival through guest departure. Act as a key point of contact for guests and handle complaints, requests, and operational issues promptly, resolving matters where possible and escalating significant issues when required.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all Front Office operations during the assigned shift, ensuring smooth and efficient service from pre-arrival through guest departure
- Ensure all Front Office SOPs, accounting procedures, resort policies, service standards, and safety requirements are consistently followed
- Monitor arrivals, departures, room assignments, room and rate changes, group allocations, VIP arrangements, special requests, and guest information in the Property Management System (PMS)
- Review guest history, VIP requirements, special requests, and previous complaints to ensure appropriate preparation and personalized service
- Ensure guestrooms and VIP rooms are properly prepared and ready for arrival, including required amenities and special arrangements
- Maintain an active presence in Front Office and guest areas, monitoring service quality, operational flow, and guest needs throughout the shift
- Act as a key point of contact for guests and handle complaints, requests, and operational issues promptly, resolving matters where possible and escalating significant issues when required
- Coordinate closely with Housekeeping and Engineering on room status, room discrepancies, out-of-order rooms, maintenance issues, and room readiness
- Monitor Front Office cashiering, floats, guest account postings, adjustments, and discrepancies in accordance with financial control procedures
- Train, coach, and cross-train Front Office employees in reception, reservations, cashiering, telephone operations, guest services, and other Front Office functions About you
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or a related field
- Minimum 2–3 years of hotel operations experience, preferably in a supervisory or Duty Manager role
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Strong guest service, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Good leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate across departments
- Able to work under pressure and handle complaints, emergencies, and unexpected operational situations
- Good computer skills and working knowledge of hotel PMS
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and night shifts when required
- Professional and service-minded attitude
