- Maintain the IT asset register — computers, notebooks, network equipment, POS hardware and software licenses — recording holder, location and renewal date.
- Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers: obtain quotations, compare options, track service levels and escalate unresolved issues. Recommend purchases for approval under the group’s procurement process. F.  Documentation and improvement
- Maintain IT documentation: network diagrams, system inventories, user guides, and a knowledge base of recurring issues and their solutions.
- Recommend and implement improvements to IT systems, processes and standards in support of group operations, and prepare the annual IT budget for approval.
- Perform other related duties as assigned. G. New system selection and implementation
- Take part in the selection of new IT and business systems for the group from the outset: gather user requirements from the business units, assess vendor proposals and demonstrations on technical grounds, and review technical specifications, integration requirements and data-security terms before any contract is signed.
- Act as the group’s technical counterpart to the implementing vendor throughout the project: coordinate configuration, integration with existing systems, data migration and cut-over planning, and track open issues through to closure.
- Plan and run user acceptance testing with the relevant business units, confirm readiness before go-live, deliver user training and documentation, and provide close support during the stabilization period after go-live.
- Confirm that every new system meets the group’s IT standards for access control, backup and personal-data protection before it is put into production use Other
- Perform other related duties as assigned
