Operations Associate

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Operations Associate to manage domestic trucking and tanker movements across Thailand. The role will be responsible for coordinating the transportation of sugar (raws and whites), grains, and liquid products such as molasses, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant deliveries. The successful candidate will have established relationships with trucking companies, tanker operators, warehouses, mills, and logistics service providers, together with a strong understanding of domestic transport operations and market freight dynamics.

Key Responsibilities
Domestic Trucking Operations
- Coordinate truck movements for:
- Raw sugar
- White sugar
- Grains and feed ingredients
- Schedule and monitor collections and deliveries from mills, warehouses, ports, and customer sites.
- Manage daily transport planning to ensure efficient vehicle utilization and on-time delivery.
- Resolve operational issues including delays, shortages, vehicle breakdowns, and delivery disputes.
- Ensure transport documentation is complete and accurately maintained. Tanker & Molasses Logistics
- Coordinate tanker movements for molasses and other liquid products.
- Liaise with suppliers, storage facilities, tanker operators, and customers to ensure smooth loading and discharge operations.
- Monitor stock movements and delivery schedules.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements for liquid bulk transport. Service Provider Management
- Build and maintain relationships with:
- Domestic trucking companies
- Tanker operators
- Warehouses and storage providers
- Surveyors and logistics support companies
- Obtain transport quotations and negotiate competitive freight rates.
- Evaluate service provider performance on cost, reliability, and safety. Operational Execution
- Track shipments and provide timely updates to commercial and finance teams.
- Maintain accurate freight and logistics cost records.
- Support inventory movements and stock reconciliations where required.
- Work closely with traders, customers, mills, warehouses, and logistics partners to ensure smooth execution of contracts. Financial & Administrative Support
- Create shipment records and maintain operational data within internal systems.
- Generate customer invoices and maintain supporting documentation.
- Support payment processing for suppliers, warehouses, transport providers and service vendors.
- Monitor customer payment status and coordinate with Finance where required.
- Provide operational reporting on shipments, stock positions and execution performance. Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to reduce transport costs and improve service levels.
- Develop alternative logistics solutions during periods of tight truck or tanker availability.
- Maintain a database of transport providers and market freight intelligence. About You We are looking for a candidate with: Requirements Experience
- 3-7 years of experience in domestic logistics, trucking, tanker operations, or commodity supply chains.
- Experience coordinating domestic road transport within Thailand.
- Direct experience handling agricultural commodities, sugar, grains, feed ingredients, or molasses preferred.
- Established network of trucking and tanker service providers. Skills & Knowledge

- Knowledge of port, warehouse, and inland storage operations.
- English language capability for communication with regional teams and international suppliers.
