Inteluck supports a variety of logistics services, including domestic transportation, warehouse management, freight forwarding, cross border transportation and other bespoke supply chain services.
Headquartered in Singapore and operates in other Southeast Asian countries including Thailand and our Thailand Branch looking for Freight Sourcing & Pricing Specialist.
Responsible for sourcing and negotiating freight rates for Sea Freight and Air Freight with shipping lines, airlines, and major co-loaders, as well as calculating logistics costs and establishing selling prices to optimize company profitability. The role focuses strictly on commercial negotiation and cost management, as a dedicated Logistics Operations team handles all shipping documentation, bookings, and execution.
What'll You Do:
- Sourcing & Rate Negotiation
- Contact, coordinate, and negotiate freight rates and local charges with shipping lines, airlines, and co-loaders for both import and export shipments.
- Compare pricing, carrier terms, transit times, and space availability across multiple carriers to secure the best total cost.
- Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with carriers and service providers (Carrier Relationship Management).
- Pricing & Cost Calculation
- Calculate shipping cost structures (Landed Costs) for Air & Sea freight (FCL/LCL).
- Determine selling prices, issue quotations, and set profit margins in alignment with Sales and Commercial teams.
- Monitor and update freight rate trends, fuel surcharges, and market volatility on a regular basis.
- Strategic Support
- Provide competitive rate structures and technical shipping specs to the Sales team for tenders, RFPs, and customer quotations.
- Hand over finalized rate agreements, carrier allocations, and terms to the Logistics Operations team for seamless booking and documentation execution. What'll You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, International Business, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Freight Procurement, Pricing, or Sourcing within Freight Forwarding, Trading, or Logistics industries.
- Existing connections or strong familiarity with shipping lines, airlines, and General Sales Agents (GSAs).
- Solid understanding of international shipping cost structures, Incoterms, surcharges, local charges, and freight tariffs.
- Strong negotiation skills and excellent numerical analytical abilities.
- Good command of spoken and written English for international carrier negotiations. What'll You Offer:
