A Snapshot of Your Day
As an Industrial Cybersecurity Expert, you will help secure the delivery of Grid Technologies substations across Asia Pacific and China. Working with bid management, engineering, project execution, commissioning, service, and customer teams, you will embed cybersecurity requirements throughout the project lifecycle. You will assess risks, define practical mitigation measures, and implement controls aligned with customer requirements, international standards, and regulatory obligations—strengthening the security, resilience, and reliability of critical energy infrastructure.
How You’ll Make An Impact
• Support and advise bid, engineering, project execution, commissioning, and service teams in evaluating cybersecurity requirements and integrating cybersecurity activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop security objectives, protection goals, and project-specific cybersecurity concepts based on customer requirements, contractual obligations, applicable regulations, and company standards.
• Perform cybersecurity risk assessments, threat modeling, gap analyses, and security evaluations, and develop practical mitigation measures and implementation plans.
• Support the development and implementation of project-specific cybersecurity architectures and security programs in collaboration with customers, engineering teams, portfolio managers, and other stakeholders.
• Create and maintain cybersecurity documentation, procedures, blueprints, templates, and technical guidance within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Support cybersecurity testing, validation, and acceptance activities, working closely with engineering and commissioning teams to ensure successful implementation.
• Evaluate and implement cybersecurity requirements derived from standards, regulations, customer specifications, and regional legislation, with a strong focus on IEC 62443, while driving mitigation actions for identified risks, non-conformities, and compliance gaps.
• Provide technical leadership, promote cybersecurity awareness and knowledge sharing, and contribute to the continuous improvement of cybersecurity processes, methodologies, best practices, and execution frameworks. What You Bring
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a comparable discipline.
• Several years of experience in industrial cybersecurity, OT/ICS security, automation systems, critical infrastructure, industrial control systems, or large-scale project execution environments.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity standards, frameworks, and regulations applicable to industrial environments, including IEC 62443.
• Experience assessing cybersecurity requirements, identifying risks and compliance gaps, implementing mitigation strategies, and supporting cybersecurity activities across project execution, product development, manufacturing, service, or solution integration environments.
• Familiarity with industrial networks, SCADA systems, automation environments, and critical infrastructure solutions.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity governance, compliance monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex cybersecurity concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and work effectively in international, cross-functional teams.
• Professional certifications such as IEC 62443, CISSP, GICSP, CISM, or equivalent are considered an advantage, along with willingness to travel occasionally to project locations and customer sites.
