Job Summary
Web Team Lead owns the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of the organization's web properties. This role sits at the intersection of customer experience, design, engineering, security, and marketing — responsible for ensuring the digital front door is fast, secure, discoverable, and converts visitors into customers. Web Team Lead manages a cross-functional team, sets the roadmap, controls the budget, and manages external vendors and agencies to deliver a best-in-class digital experience.

• Identify friction points using qualitative and quantitative data; prioritize fixes that improve conversion rate, engagement, and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee responsive/mobile-first design and cross-device/cross-browser quality. Security & Compliance
• Ensure websites and applications meet security best practices (SSL/TLS, secure headers, dependency patching, penetration testing follow-ups).
• Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., PCI-DSS if handling payments, WCAG for accessibility).
• Coordinate with IT/Security teams on vulnerability management, incident response, and regular security audits.
• Own cookie consent, privacy policy alignment, and data-handling practices on owned digital properties. SEO (Web & App)
• Define and execute technical SEO strategy: site architecture, page speed, structured data, indexation, crawlability.
• Oversee on-page and app store optimization (ASO) to improve organic visibility and rankings.
• Partner with content/marketing teams on keyword strategy and content structure.
• Monitor algorithm updates and adjust strategy to protect and grow organic traffic. Analytics & Reporting (Google Analytics & beyond)
• Own the GA4 (or equivalent) implementation, tagging strategy, and data governance.
• Responsible for dashboards and reports on traffic, conversion, funnel performance, and user behavior for leadership.
• Translate data into actionable insights and a testing roadmap (A/B and multivariate testing).
• Ensure tracking accuracy and data privacy compliance in analytics implementation. Vendor & Team Management
• Manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and technology vendors.
• Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and pricing; evaluate vendor performance regularly.
• Lead, mentor, and grow an internal team of developers, designers, and specialists; conduct performance reviews and career development planning. Qualifications
