Head of Quality Assurance

About The Role
Lightnet Group is establishing a dedicated Quality Assurance function, and is hiring a Head of QA to build and lead it from the ground up. Reporting directly to the CTO, this is a vital role not only for the Technology team but across the entire product development roadmap: QA acts as a critical gatekeeper to ensure our products meet customer expectations, while protecting the business from production bugs that could trigger reportable regulatory incidents. This is a hands-on, build-from-zero leadership role: the successful candidate will stand up the team, define how QA operates across the group, and shift Lightnet's testing practice from manual regression toward modern test automation. ‍ Key Responsbilities
• Build and structure the QA team, including defining roles, evaluating candidates, and hiring QA talent
• Act as the single point of contact for QA resource planning and scheduling across the Technology organization
• Define and track quality metrics, proactively identifying and resolving systemic issues before they impact production
• Own the QA roadmap, modernizing tools and processes with a strong focus on test automation over manual regression testing
• Partner with engineering, product, and compliance stakeholders to embed quality gates across the development lifecycle
• Establish QA standards, processes, and escalation paths appropriate to a regulated fintech environment ‍ What We're Looking For
• Proven experience leading or building a QA function, ideally including standing up a team from scratch
• Strong track record in modernizing QA practices — test automation frameworks, CI/CD-integrated testing, and reducing reliance on manual regression
• Experience in fintech, payments, or another regulated industry is a strong plus, given the compliance and regulatoryincident stakes of this role
• Comfortable operating as an individual contributor and people leader in the early stages of team build-out
• Strong stakeholder management skills — this role is the single point of contact for QA across Technology and the broader product roadmap
• Fluent in both Thai and English, spoken and written
• Based in or willing to relocate to Bangkok, Thailand Reporting Line and Team This is a newly created position with no incumbent, reporting directly to the CTO.
