Key Responsibilities:

Procurement:

  • Purchase and source all items, especially raw materials used in production, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Negotiate terms, prices, and contracts to secure the best value for the company.
  • Analyze specifications to determine supplier capabilities and ensure alignment with production needs.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure materials meet required standards.
  • Support the new product development team and handle inquiries and purchasing for new products.
  • Handle exceptions during the purchasing process, such as stock shortages or delivery delays, and promptly find solutions.

Cost Optimization and Reporting:

  • Conduct cost analysis and implement strategies to reduce procurement costs.
  • Track and manage budgets for procurement activities.
  • Prepare and present regular procurement reports, including cost savings and supplier performance metrics.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Work with quality assurance teams to address supplier-related issues, including inspections and audits.
  • Manage returns or exchanges arising from quality issues.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Coordinate between suppliers and internal teams to resolve technical or logistical issues.

Skills:

  • Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and supplier market conditions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
