- Partner with the Plant Director to align workforce planning with production targets
- Lead HR initiatives during plant expansions, new line installations, or digitalization projects.
- Oversee the HR budget, including labor costs, overtime analysis, training, and employee welfare programs.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for niche roles (e.g., Quality Assurance (QA) Pharmacists, Process Engineers, Maintenance Technicians) and mass hiring for operators.
- Design and manage competitive shift policies, ensuring fairness and compliance with labor laws regarding overtime and rest periods.
- Identify critical roles (e.g., Plant Manager, Head of Quality) and build a robust internal talent pipeline.
- Ensure all HR practices adhere to local labor laws and industry standards (e.g., GMP, FDA, ISO).
- Manage training records and personnel files to ensure 100% readiness for internal and external audits (FDA, local authorities).
- Collaborate with the Health, Safety, & Environment (HSE) team to enforce safety protocols and manage work-related injury cases (Workers' Comp).
- Lead negotiations with labor unions, handle grievances, and maintain harmonious industrial relations.
- Implement KPI-based appraisals for both salaried (white-collar) and hourly (blue-collar) employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Law, or Business. Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
- 10+ years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a Manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Pharmaceuticals (GMP) or FMCG is strictly required.
- Strong knowledge of Labor Law and Industrial Relations.
- Familiarity with quality standards (GMP, ISO 9001, HACCP).
- Proficiency in HRIS (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday) and Time & Attendance systems.
- Ability to switch gears between strategic planning in the boardroom and conflict resolution on the production floor.
