A. Execute Simulations CAE for EMEA & Asia:
- Generate FEA meshes for products, processes, machines and tools
- Execute linear and nonlinear FEA calculations with the software and hardware provided by the company
- Execute shape/parameter optimizations to obtain ideal product geometries using the optimization software provided by the company. Make sure solutions are robust and qualify for practical applications
- Execute sheet metal forming simulation for disc and rim processes (steel) to predict production and material problems on products prior to tool production.
- Execute post processing for all above mentioned variants of simulation, interpret the results and complete projects by generating a comprehensive FEA report giving recommendations for practical applications
- Execute mold filling and solidification simulation for aluminum wheels
- Execute impact cases and special analysis for products
- Make understanding and comply with the company policy, procedures, laws and regulations that related to occupational health, safety, and environment, as well as to support the objectives and targets that are deployed by the company and/or superior to achieve the intended outcome.
B. Drive FEA improvement:
- Drives further product optimization with proper optimization tools for improved layouts
- Introduce new optimization and calculation tools to improve accuracy and enables fatigue life prediction for products exposed to complex test situations
- Close cooperation with central and local Test lab for continuous improvement of layout criteria via DMS technology and new measurement tools
- Benchmark of layouts with products in series from MX as well as competition
Initiate analysis of upcoming demands from customer for new simulations
Forming simulation in alignment with tool design and Manager Engineering
- CFD analysis as possible new tool to be evaluated
C. Standardization of reporting:
- Improve internal and external reporting format and content, harmonized with Centers of Engineering
- Contribute to lessons learned database
- Work on Simulation Standardization and its documentation
D. Global alignment of reporting:
- Alignment with FEA center in KON, LIM and DEL for way of working as well as reporting
- Seeks establishment of best practice to minimize internal failures
E. Project Management:
- Execution of projects in collaboration with external bodies such as university institutes, material suppliers, external service providers FEM and colleagues in related companies with the aim to improve or extend the simulation activity as indicated and directed by the manager
- Cooperate with the stakeholders internally / externally as testing department, product design, material suppliers, plant engineering and software providers
- Organizing and conducting departmental training activities on the PC
Qualifications:
- Education Level: Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering
- Education Program: Focus on CAE methods (linear and nonlinear analysis, statics and dynamics, frequency response, optimization techniques, sheet metal forming and mold filling). Knowledge on wire strain technology are of advantage. Very good mechanical background.
- Language Requirements: Good language skills in English
Experience: at least 3 years in the field of finite element analysis are of advantage
Knowledge:
Knowledge of product and process specific technology/ engineering
HyperWorks, IDEAS, ABAQUS; Optris, Unix, Catia and MS Office products
