Position Summary

Head of Traffic & Mobility Planning will be responsible for the planning, design, and management of traffic and mobility within shopping centers and mixed-use complexes. The role covers vehicle (cars, motorcycles) and pedestrian traffic flow, with a focus on ensuring efficiency, safety, and customer experience. This position requires collaboration with the Facility Management team on operational improvements as well as participation with the Construction and Design teams in new developments and renovations.


Key Responsibilities
1. Existing Projects (Main Duty)
  • Analyze, design, and optimize traffic flow within operating shopping centers, covering car parks, motorcycle areas, drop-off/pick-up points, and loading bays.
  • Monitor and manage daily traffic performance, including peak periods such as weekends and special events.
  • Develop and implement operational traffic management plans to reduce congestion and improve safety and convenience for visitors.
  • Propose and execute improvement initiatives based on data analysis, customer feedback, and operational issues.
  • Coordinate with government agencies and local authorities (e.g., traffic police, transport departments) to ensure smooth traffic integration with public roads and transport systems.
  • Prepare and present Traffic Performance Reports with recommendations to senior management.
2. New Design Projects
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants from the conceptual design stage to ensure traffic and parking systems are well integrated into mixed-use and large-scale commercial developments.
  • Provide technical expertise in Traffic Engineering Design, Parking Layouts, Drop-off/Loading Areas, and Public Transit Connections.
  • Review and validate design proposals to align with operational requirements, international standards, and local regulations.
  • Participate in design reviews, simulations, and stakeholder workshops to ensure traffic flow efficiency and safety considerations are embedded in the project.
  • Support renovation projects by advising on traffic and mobility modifications.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Urban Planning, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in traffic and mobility design for mixed-use developments, shopping malls, or large-scale commercial complexes.
  • Strong knowledge of Traffic Engineering, Parking Design, and Mobility Planning.
  • Familiarity with international standards and local codes related to traffic and building design.
  • Hands-on experience with traffic analysis and design software (e.g., Synchro, VISSIM, AutoCAD, Civil 3D) preferred.
  • Strong cross-functional coordination skills with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and presentation skills.
