The Legal and Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the company's business operations in Thailand and the region adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role focuses on minimizing legal risks, managing contract lifecycle, and promoting a culture of compliance, particularly within the dynamic context of the
Technology and Digital Services
industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Legal Support & Documentation

  • Drafting & Review:
    Draft, review, revise, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements (both domestic and international) in Thai and English, including
    Software Licensing, SaaS agreements, NDAs, Vendor/Supplier agreements, and Partnership agreements
    .
  • Legal Advisory:
    Provide timely and practical legal advice and consultation to all business units (e.g., Sales, HR, Product Development) on legal matters impacting company operations.
  • Dispute Resolution:
    Assist in managing and coordinating with external counsel on litigation, arbitration, and other legal disputes, focusing on areas like
    Intellectual Property (IP)
    and labor issues.

2. Regulatory Compliance

  • Monitoring:
    Proactively monitor, research, and summarize changes in relevant Thai laws and regulations, particularly in the tech sector, such as the
    Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), cybersecurity regulations, e-commerce laws, and consumer protection laws
    .
  • Policy Implementation:
    Draft, review, and implement internal company policies, guidelines, and procedures (e.g., Code of Conduct, Anti-Corruption, Data Protection policies) to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Risk Management:
    Conduct legal and compliance risk assessments and due diligence for new products, business models, and corporate activities, offering mitigation strategies.

3. Training & Reporting

  • Training:
    Develop and deliver mandatory legal and compliance training programs to employees across all departments.
  • Auditing:
    Assist in conducting internal compliance audits and investigations.
  • Reporting:
    Prepare and submit necessary legal and compliance reports to management and relevant regulatory bodies.

Qualifications and Experience:

Required

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree or higher in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university.
  • Experience:
    3-5 years of progressive experience in a legal or compliance role,
    preferably within a technology, digital, or fast-paced company
    environment in Thailand.
  • Language:
    Good in both written and spoken Thai and English
    is mandatory for reviewing complex legal documents and coordinating with regional teams.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    Strong understanding of corporate and commercial law, as well as specific Thai regulations relevant to tech companies (e.g., PDPA).

Preferred:

  • Admitted to the Thai Bar (Lawyer License).
  • Experience in Intellectual Property (IP) law, data privacy (PDPA/GDPR), or fintech/e-payment regulations.
  • Familiarity with compliance systems and tools.
