Job Summary

Responsible for all studio technical aspects including equipment maintenance, installation, configuration, operation of electronic equipment to produce and transmit television programs on-air.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain, install, configure and operate audio & video equipment in the production and transmission of television programs;

• Ensure the smooth functioning of equipment used for live and recorded productions in the studios and outside broadcasts;

• Conduct tests to ensure quality of audio & video signals;

• Troubleshoot and repair problems with equipment;

• Keep accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs and configurations;

• Adhere to safety procedures when handling electrical and mechanical equipment;

• Assist other departments by providing technical advice and assistance;

• Monitor technical changes in audio & video technology and recommend upgrades as appropriate;

• Train staff members in proper use of equipment.

Job Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent;

• Good knowledge of audio & video equipment and systems;

• Experience in television production or related industry;

• Knowledge of safety practices and first aid measures;

• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to changing circumstances;

• Effective communication skills (both written and verbal);

• Highly motivated team player with strong organizational skills.
