Job Summary

The IT Engineer is responsible for providing day-to-day technical support
for IT-related issues, ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and
network systems. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and
familiarity with networking, hardware maintenance, door access systems
(HikVision), and Fortinet security products.

Job Responsibilities

*Technical Support & Troubleshooting*

  • Respond to and resolve IT service requests and incidents promptly.
  • Provide support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Diagnose and fix hardware and software issues across the organization.

*Networking*

  • Maintain and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity and network devices.
  • Configure and support switches, routers, and wireless access points.
  • Monitor network performance and escalate issues when necessary.

*Security & Access Control*

  • Support and maintain HikVision door access systems and related security hardware.
  • Perform routine checks and ensure proper functioning of access control systems.
  • Configure and manage Fortinet products (firewalls, VPN, security policies).

**System Maintenance****

  • Apply updates, patches, and security configurations to systems.
  • Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure proper documentation.

*Compliance & Documentation*

  • Ensure adherence to IT security policies and standards.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, configurations, and solutions for future reference.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required.
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in IT support or similar role

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and repair.
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with HikVision door access systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP).
  • Proficiency in Windows OS and common enterprise applications.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
