Position: Thai Teacher

Responsibilities
1. Teaching Duties
  • Plan and deliver Thai language lessons in accordance with the MISB curriculum and Thai Ministry of Education standards.
  • Create engaging lesson plans, teaching materials, and activities to develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
  • Apply teaching methods suitable for international school students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Conduct formative and summative assessments and provide timely feedback to students.
  • Support students with different learning needs, including language and behavioral development.
2. Classroom Management
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Manage student behavior and promote respect and understanding of Thai culture.
  • Keep accurate records of attendance and student behavior.
3. Assessment & Reporting
  • Assess student performance based on school criteria and learning objectives.
  • Prepare and submit report cards according to the academic schedule.
  • Participate in Parent-Teacher Conferences to discuss student progress and development.
4. Collaboration
  • Work closely with homeroom teachers, foreign teachers, and the academic team.
  • Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and academic events.
  • Assist with school-wide events such as Sports Day, Thai Cultural Day, and other celebrations.
5. Academic & Administrative Duties
  • Update lesson plans and maintain documentation required by the school.
  • Organize and support Thai cultural events such as Loy Krathong, Songkran, Mother's Day, and Father's Day.
  • Ensure teaching resources and classrooms are well-prepared and well-maintained.

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Thai Language, Teaching, or a related field.
  • Teaching experience in an international school environment is an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate in English to collaborate with international staff.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Passion for teaching and understanding of child development.
  • Professional, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
  • Teaching license from the Teachers' Council of Thailand (Khurusapha).
  • Experience teaching Thai at Primary or Secondary level in an international curriculum.
  • Ability to use technology for teaching (e.g., Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams).
