Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Phuket. The Director of Food & Beverage will lead all food and beverage operations across the resort, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, innovative culinary concepts, and alignment with Banyan Trees brand philosophy.

The role involves overseeing restaurants, bars, in-villa dining, and event operations, while managing financial performance and maintaining the highest standards of service and quality. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader who inspires teams, fosters creativity, and ensures that every dining moment embodies the resorts spirit of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all food and beverage operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and guest satisfaction across all outlets.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop distinctive menus, promotions, and dining concepts.
  • Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement strategies to optimize revenue and profitability.
  • Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to associates, nurturing a culture of service excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and brand standards.
  • Partner with other departments to deliver seamless guest experiences.
  • Promote sustainable practices and support Banyan Trees commitment to responsible and eco-conscious dining.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in Food & Beverage management, preferably within a luxury hotel or resort.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary operations, guest service, and food and beverage trends.
  • Demonstrated skills in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Passionate about delivering world-class hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences.
  • Knowledge of sustainable practices and commitment to environmental stewardship is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English and Thai (spoken & written).
