About the role

Join the dynamic team at R V CONNEX CO., LTD. as an Aerostructural Engineer. The applicant will design, build and test prototype aircraft structures. The scope of work will span from conceptual to detail design, part and assembly design, system design, manufacturing support and flight test support. Typical work includes but no limited to design and manufacture of primary structural elements and their integration into the overall vehicle.

What you'll be doing

  1. Design primary and secondary load paths for the aircraft.
  2. Conceptual design, structural layout, sizing and detail design.
  3. Develop and validate structural models (static, dynamic fatigue, thermal) using FEM tools.
  4. Perform FEA simulations for components and assemblies stress analysis.
  5. Prepare technical reports.
  6. Aeroelastic analysis.
  7. Support various activities related to the project.
  8. Simultaneous work on multiple projects.

What we're looking for

  1. A minimum of a Bachelor's of Science in aerospace/aeronautical engineering or a relevant engineering discipline from an accredited institution or substantial equivalent experience.
  2. A Master's of Science is a plus.
  3. 2-7 years of experience in in the aerospace or structural design and FEM/FEA analysis (entry to senior roles can be adjusted)
  4. Strong understanding of materials (metallic and composite) and structural mechanics.

  5. Good knowledge of aircraft load paths and structural sizing.

  6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (verbal and written).

  7. Good proficiency in 3D CAD is required. Competency in SolidWorks 3D CAD is desired.
  8. Good proficiency in Simcenter 3D, ANSYS R2, HyperMesh or equivalent finite element analysis software.
  9. Good level of English verbal and written communication. Typical IELTS Level: 6 or similar is an advantage.
  10. Familiarity with Quality Management System ISO 9001, AS9100, is a plus.
  11. Familiarity with ASME Y14 policies is a plus.
  12. Good team player, Good leadership.
  13. Have a proactive approach
