Safety Specialist

Reports to: Safety & Health Manager

Work location: Bangna K.M.25

Job purpose:

•Support on Bangkok Operations improvement project as consultant on safety concern's point.

•Occupational health, Safety management.

Key responsibilities/accountabilities

Analyze current data to plan improvement

•Increase the efficiency of unsafe act/unsafe condition data and Management Gemba so that it can be used to analyze the causes and find preventive measures to reduce serious accidents.

•Work with safety team to reviewing, compiling, analyzing, and interpreting record from accident and other sources regarding injuries, property damage and near miss to identify causes, trends to set the campaign / action plans to reduce accidents.

•Analysis data from abnormal health checkup results and first aid room record to investigation root cause that related to work or personal behavior / congenital disease to take the data to set health promotion program and critical illness project.

•Analyze data together between work environment measurement results and employee illnesses to analyze causes and reduce health problems.

Close the gap to continuous improvement

•Work with safety team to establish and review safety standard that concern with production such as PPE, lifting equipment, incident investigation and other.

•Work with safety team to increase knowledge and enhance the efficiency of risk assessment for leaders to reduce unnecessary information and can use the information from the risk assessment to improve working conditions to be safer.

•Work with safety team to review safety awareness training program.

•Work with safety team to develop chemical safety management such as hazard control design, methods, and procedure to comply the regulation and implementing in shop floor.

•Update new safety law that concern the company business and set action plan to comply with the effective date that includes regular assessment of conformity.

•Providing legal advice and consult on occupational health and safety.

•Optimizing the data collection of health data in the first aid room so that concerns person can easily access to data and effectively access can be used in case of emergency.

•Review and compare health check-up parameter before entering the plant and annual health checkup in accordance with the risks and law.

•Build up internal trainers so that the necessary training courses can be flexible.

•Providing safety advice to support new projects and workplace organization (WPO) project.

Continuous improvement

•Establish contractor safety management system to ensure that they are follow with safety standard and assessed for their safety performance to bring information for project owner and IPS to consider hiring.

•Set the communication canal for safety standard, safety law such as safety alert, safety new and other.

•Researching best practices in occupational health and safety to apply in the company.

•Set safety campaign focus on significant/frequency unsafe act/condition and accident happen in the past.

•Work with deputy team and concerns person to manage the emergency situations that affect the company's business such as COVID-19 situation.

•Establish and implement consequence management for employees and contractors.

Good corporate image of the OHS management

•Represent Good corporate image of the OHS management by nominated for zero accident award, Thailand National Outstanding Occupational Safety and Health Factory Award and Prime Minister Award of Safety Management.

•Apply and maintain for occupational health and safety management system ISO 45001.

Qualifications.

• Professional level - Bachelor Degree of Science (Occupational Health and Safety), Relevant

• Experiences minimum 5 years in automotive industrial

• ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001

•Experienced in Occupational health and safety management system at least 3 years

•Experienced in safety auditor function and working with the government

•Working knowledge of heavy industrial manufacturing and assembly operations

•Good communication and good command of both Thai and English
