Responsibilities:

  • Understand and remember cost structure/cost ratio and all details of cost of their parts for each commodity.
  • Know and remember about price level situation comparing with Parent Company (Mazda Motor Corporation) or competitor.
  • Remember suppliers' basic information , details of process and create material.
  • Understand lead-time of suppliers' parts (raw material, process, etc.)
  • Monitor and remember supply chain for each commodity.
  • Create and negotiate cost improvement (CI) with suppliers.
  • Process for supplier selection.
  • Lead co-creation and physical quantity activity.
  • Understand about competitors of each process of their parts. Create material about supplier information for each commodity, including competitors.
  • Lead follow-up schedule and development of new models.
  • Able to communicate effectively with Mazda Motor Corporation (Buyer staff, Engineer staff, etc.)
  • Support quality and delivery, if any.

Required Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Good command in English (spoken and written) is required.
  • High sense of responsibility, especially in meeting deadlines and managing tasks accurately.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to coordinate with related departments.
  • Ability to build and maintain good relationships with all responsible suppliers.
  • Leadership skills are essential, especially when taking on the role of a project leader.
  • TOEIC score 400.
