About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Buyer to join the dynamic team at APR Packaging (Thailand) Co., Ltd. As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient procurement of materials and supplies that are essential to our manufacturing and logistics operations. This is a full-time position based in Samut Prakan, Samut Prakan.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage the procurement of raw materials and components from local and international suppliers
  2. Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
  3. Ensure timely delivery of materials to support production schedules and maintain inventory levels
  4. Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers to negotiate favourable pricing and terms
  5. Placing orders, monitoring deliveries, and managing supplier relationships
  6. Maintaining accurate inventory records and forecasting future purchasing needs
  7. Collaborating with the production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials
  8. Researching new products and services to enhance our operational efficiency
  9. Staying up-to-date with market trends, industry regulations, and cost-saving opportunities
  10. Assisting with the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures

What we're looking for

  1. Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing or logistics industry
  2. Strong negotiation and communication skills to work effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  3. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  4. Proficiency in data analysis and inventory management to optimize purchasing decisions
  5. Knowledge of relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices
  6. Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
  7. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  8. Fluency in both English and Thai and prefer to understand Chinese a little
  9. Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills
  10. Proficient in using ERP systems and MS Office applications
  11. Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities
