We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, eager to work with our small but elite engineering team to build the software systems running and fuelling our state-of-the-art trading strategies.

What are the responsibilities of a Senior Software Engineer?
In this role, you will get to:
  • Take ownership of significant parts of our trading system and internal alpha platform
  • Work closely with other engineers, product owners, and researchers to design complex technical solutions from scratch
  • Critically analyze both existing and proposed solutions and pro-actively providing feedback
  • Consistently adhere to best practices
  • Review code and make significant contributions to our codebases
Requirements for this role are:
  • 4+ years of software engineering experience
  • Deep knowledge and extensive experience using Python
  • Proven experience in AWS cloud environments, including:
    • Designing, deploying, and managing production infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as AWS CDK
  • Implementing cybersecurity hardening and policies with tools like AWS Security Hub to maintain secure and compliant infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience with software testing (unit, integration, etc.) and a strong commitment to writing clean, testable, extendable, and scalable code as part of your day-to-day work
  • Experience with containerisation and CI/CD pipelines, integrating them into everyday development and deployment processes
  • Understanding of computer science fundamentals, such as Algorithms & Data Structures, Software Design Patterns, Networking, Operating Systems, and Network Protocols (e.g. REST, Websockets)
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate fluently in English
Nice to have:
  • Knowledge, understanding, and experience developing software in RUST
  • Experience working in (algorithmic) trading and interacting with cryptocurrency/stock exchanges
  • Experience working with Research/Data Scientists, Project Managers, and Operations teams
  • Experience benchmarking software and understanding of (low-level) code performance optimization
  • Experience retrieving, storing, and processing large amounts of data
