Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Receptionist to join our team. You'll deliver exceptional guest experiences in a dynamic, shift-based environment. Responsibilities include managing check-ins, reservations, and inquiries while coordinating with staff. Ideal for organized, customer-focused individuals fluent in English, thriving in fast-paced hospitality settings. Performing individuals will have a chance to be promoted to the Management Trainee role after probation period.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting guests and checking them in and out of the hostel.
- Answering questions about the hostel and the surrounding area, providing information on local attractions, transportation options, and dining recommendations.
- Taking reservations over the phone, email or online platforms, and managing the hostel's booking system.
- Handling cash, credit card transactions, and maintaining financial records.
- Responding to guest complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure that guest rooms are cleaned and maintained to the hostel's standards.
- Handling guest requests for additional amenities such as towels, blankets, and toiletries.
- Adhering to safety and security procedures, including checking guests' identification and monitoring the premises for any suspicious activity.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the hostel manager or supervisor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or above; a diploma/degree in hospitality, tourism, business administration, or a related field is highly preferred.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in hospitality, hotels, F&B, or event management.
- Experience handling shift-based schedules or part-time work environments is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse guests and staff; fluency in English and Thai is a must, other languages is a big plus.
- Proficiency in document and project management software.
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks, such as guest inquiries, reservations, and shift coordination.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, especially during peak hours or high-turnover periods.
- Professional demeanor with a warm, welcoming attitude to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Adaptability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, common in hospitality.
- Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service.
