The Opportunity

Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer Bangkok office is offering 3-month (April-June / July-September / October-December) paid internship opportunities to graduate and post-graduate students who are interested in getting first-hand experience in a leading international arbitration practice in Asia.

Interns will work alongside our disputes / arbitration team and will be involved in a varied workload including assistance with current arbitration and other client work; arbitration-related research; writing papers and journal articles; production of arbitration-related internal know-how; and similar projects, giving you a chance to gain a real insight into the depth and breadth of our practice areas.

We are looking for self-motivated individuals with a demonstrated interest in arbitration and arbitration-related issues along with outstanding achievements in academic and extra-curricular activities.  Candidates with strong research, organisation and problem solving skills with ability to deal and communicate efficiently with team members is preferred. Our disputes and arbitration team is looking for candidates with a growth and positive mindset, who will integrate well into our leading disputes / arbitration team in Thailand.

In order to be eligible for our internship, you must:

  • be a recent law undergraduate/post-graduate or returning Thai law students from overseas university studies (LLB and/or LLM) qualified or aiming to become qualified in Thailand, with strong academic background

  • be able to live and work legally in Thailand (Herbert Smith Freehills will not be able to assist with or sponsor your application for a permit to live and work in Thailand)

  • be fluent in Thai and English
