G E N E R A L D E S C R I P T I O N

RIS - Ratchapruek Campus seeks an enthusiastic and engaging Primary School Learning Support teacher who will lead, inspire, and promote student learning. The applicant should be knowledgeable about special education and support students with learning needs in the primary school setting. The Primary School Learning Support teacher helps build a supportive environment by working with teachers to differentiate for all learning styles, providing individualized or small-group instruction, and working closely with other instructional staff to ensure rigorous, high-quality services. The applicant also provides targeted intervention and support for students with special learning needs. They work as part of a team and are willing to do "whatever it takes'' for students to succeed. They will collaborate with department team members, school leaders, and the Director of Student Support to ensure that instruction meets the needs of each student.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders in a diverse school community.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging families in the learning support process and updating them on student progress.
  • Active participation in PLT and SST meetings and collaborative referral (MTSS) processes to ensure student needs are met through a structured support system.
  • Experience coordinating with external agencies and specialists when necessary for enhanced student support.

Instructional Support and Inclusive Practices

  • Proficiency in IEP implementation with a commitment to monitoring and supporting individualized education goals.
  • Experience in co-planning and co-teaching arrangements and providing sheltered immersion support, ensuring inclusive learning environments in both general and special education settings.
  • Skill in developing and delivering pull-out services and targeted interventions for students requiring additional support.
  • Commitment to inclusive practices that respect and accommodate all learners in a supportive environment.

Academic and Behavioral Interventions

  • Experience using data to assess progress and adapt instructional approaches to meet individual needs.
  • Proven ability to create effective learning support programs that promote academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Familiarity with de-escalation strategies and crisis intervention to support students in challenging situations, if needed.

Assessment and Technology

  • Experience with technology integration, including the use of Google Suite, assistive technology, and other tools to support diverse learning needs.
  • Skill in modifying standards-based assessment, grading, and reporting to accommodate varied learning needs while maintaining rigor and accountability.
  • Knowledge of accommodations and modifications for assessments and daily instruction to support diverse learners.

Professional Development and Cultural Competence

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development in evidence-based teaching strategies and learning support practices.
  • Willingness to work in a multicultural environment and demonstrate cultural competence in supporting students from diverse backgrounds.

Q u a l i f i c a t i o n s &r e q u i r e m e n t s


• Special Needs/Education Teacher certification (current)


• A master's degree in special education or a related field is preferred


• Two years of experience as a special education or learning support teacher


• Experience with providing multi-sensory reading intervention (Orton–Gillingham, Lindamood-Bell, etc.)
