About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Engineering Manager to join our team at Hitachi Astemo Chonburi Manufacturing Ltd. in Chonburi, Thailand. This is a full-time role that will play a crucial part in overseeing the engineering operations of our manufacturing facility.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and lead the production engineering team to ensure efficient and effective manufacturing processes
• Develop and implement engineering strategies, policies and procedures to improve productivity, quality and safety
• Analyse production data and identify opportunities for process improvements
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve engineering-related issues and drive continuous improvement
• Have knowledge of spec new machine, new layout, pokayoke and infra structure will be advantage.
• Have experience of investment budget project.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, regulations and safety protocols
• Provide technical guidance and support to the production team
• Mentor and develop the skills of the production engineering team

What we're looking for

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a production engineering role, preferably within the manufacturing industry
• Proven track record of leading a team of production engineers and driving process improvements
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse and interpret production data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment and automation technologies
• Proficient in project management, budgeting and resource allocation
• Fluent in Thai and English, both written and verbal
