Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead, design, and manage the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for large-scale, complex mixed-use developments. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective integration of MEP systems into the building design and construction, ensuring that they are energy-efficient, cost-effective, and meet the highest standards of life safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Engineering: Lead the design of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and related life safety system) for mixed-use developments, including residential, commercial, and retail spaces.
  • Project Management: Oversee the MEP design process and manage the coordination of MEP systems with other disciplines (architectural, structural, etc.) during the design and construction phases.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and mentoring to junior MEP engineers and ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practices.
  • Budget and Schedule Management: Develop and manage MEP project budgets, schedules, and timelines, ensuring all milestones are achieved while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the installation and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications, codes, and regulations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all MEP designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards, and obtain necessary permits and approvals.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into the overall project design.
  • Sustainability and Energy Efficiency: Advocate for the integration of sustainable design principles and energy-efficient systems into all MEP designs to reduce environmental impact and operational costs.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Address any issues that arise during the design and construction phases, providing solutions that minimize disruption to the project schedule and budget.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports, technical documentation, and presentations for management, clients, and stakeholders.

Required Qualification and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • At least 8-10 years of experience as an MEP engineer, with a focus on large-scale, mixed-use developments. Experience in design, site management, facility management and life safety system is highly desirable.
  • Fluent both writing and speaking in English.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred. LEED accreditation is a plus.
  • Proficient in MEP design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, ETAP, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Knowledge of building codes, local regulations, and life safety standards.
  • Expertise in energy-efficient building systems and sustainability practices.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, handle budgets, schedules, and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience in leading teams, mentoring junior engineers, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and integrated project delivery.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in the MEP sector, such as smart building systems, life safety system and renewable energy solutions.
  • International experience in real estate development projects is a plus

Work Environment:

  • Office-based with frequent site visits to construction locations.
  • Some travel may be required for project meetings and site inspections
