Global Quality Manager

The Product Quality Lead is a key technical expert responsible for architecting and embedding the advanced quality strategy and execution within the entire product development lifecycle, specifically for Cloud and Connectivity Solutions. This role is pivotal in driving best-in-class, 'quality-by-design' methodologies and techniques to ensure robust, high-quality processes and products from the earliest design phases through to mass production. This position requires deep hands-on technical skills and a high degree of autonomy in solving complex, multi-functional quality challenges.

Responsibilities;

·       Reporting to New Product Quality Manager/ Senior Manager, this role is a critical role to ensure flawless execution of all required activities to enable transition from design to manufacturing of next generation products.

·       Design Quality Architecture: Architect, develop, and continuously improve the design quality framework, ensuring quality is inherently built into product designs, manufacturing processes, and test strategies.

·       Technical Ownership: Serve as the primary quality subject matter expert for Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), leading the development and technical sign-off of critical quality deliverables (e.g., Control Plans, Process FMEAs, Measurement System Analysis - MSA).

·       Advanced Risk Management: Champion and personally execute advanced risk management methodologies (S/D/PFMEA, FTA, NUDD) throughout the entire product design and development lifecycle, driving proactive technical risk identification and mitigation.

·       Design-to-Manufacturing Transfer: Lead the technical quality validation efforts for new product introductions, ensuring robust process capability and a seamless, high-quality design transfer to manufacturing.

·       Task Force Leader: Lead task forces when high criticality risks/issues surface to ensure timely and robust resolution prior to product launch.

·       Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Establish and drive technical systems for comprehensive new product quality monitoring during development and post-launch. Lead deep-dive failure analysis and 8D/DMAIC initiatives based on verification and field data to define and implement permanent corrective and preventive actions.

·       Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide technical consultation and collaborate intensively with Product Development, Design Engineering, and Operations teams to embed quality requirements and perform design reviews early in the process.

·       Supplier Technical Oversight: Partner with Supply Chain and Supplier Quality Engineering to technically evaluate and ensure supplier capabilities for critical components and assemblies meet new product quality requirements.

·       Reporting: This role will lead the quality readiness reporting during product milestone reviews.

Qualifications;

• Experience in new product development quality.
• Practitioner-level, hands-on knowledge in the application and execution of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), ISO standards, and quality management tools/techniques.
• Strong analytical and statistical background. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) certification is highly preferred. Proven ability to apply advanced statistical methods to process and product data (e.g., DOE, SPC).
• Practical experience in leading and executing complex design and process FMEAs and other technical risk assessment methodologies (e.g., Fault Tree Analysis - FTA).
• Exceptional, data-driven problem-solving skills with a track record of implementing tangible, sustainable technical improvements in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of typical enterprise systems and processes related to PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and quality management.

• Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and influence technical stakeholders and cross-functional teams without direct authority.

• 6+ years of progressive, hands-on technical experience in Quality Engineering, specifically focused on New Product Introduction (NPI) in a relevant technology domain (e.g., electronics, cloud infrastructure, telecommunications).
