Overall Role Purpose:

• To direct, control, and coordinate all Restaurant activities, ensuring the smooth running of the outlet, the outlet meets its financial and guest satisfaction objectives.  To direct and control all subordinate staff to ensure that all day-to-day operational matters are handled on time and guest expectations are met. To ensure the high standard and ensure of best quality services of food and beverage

Accountabilities

• Arrives on duty with a clean, sober, and smart appearance.  Brief all staff about each day's planning, explain details of all incoming functions, or if there is any VIP at the Restaurant.   Responsible for hygiene, cleanliness, and good appearance of staff and proper maintenance of all operating equipment, furniture, and fixtures. Ensures that the restaurant is properly equipped and staffed at all times.
• Highly visible in the outlet and handle complaints.  Establishes good guest contact by setting up guest history cards, greets guests by name when possible, and informs regular guests about activities and promotions in the Restaurant.  Takes care of all guests, paying special attention to VIP guests.
• Responsible for achieving the budget & controlling beverage costs in cooperation with the cost controller.  Monitors and controls the financial performance of the Restaurant, controlling costs and expenses.
• Provides guidance and assistance to the Restaurant employee, helping them in the execution of their duties and responsibilities.  Check all reservations, prepare a floor plan or a guideline to all staff (Coaching).
• Maintain a good working atmosphere and teamwork within the department. Leads, motivates, trains staff, and builds a good working environment.
• Maintains good relationships with all staff within the other division.
• Liaises with the kitchen, stewarding, bars, housekeeping, and engineering to ensure that the operation runs smoothly in areas of joint responsibility.  Maintains a high level of co-operation and communication with the Chef to avoid friction between the Kitchen and service staff.  Consult the chef on daily specials.
• Oversees the service standards in the restaurant, ensuring that they conform to the requisite standards andmeet or exceed customer expectations.
• Maximizes revenue in the restaurant by implementing upselling procedures, and planning, and execution of promotional activities.
• Participates in the preparation of the restaurant's annual departmental budget as directed
• Maintains the efficient administration, preparing and submitting reports on time as directed.  Prepares duty rosters and implements vacation and public holiday schedules.  Prepares monthly training and training reports.
• Assists in the selection, training, and evaluation of subordinate staff.
• Trains the staffs, to set, maintain and improve service standards to a maximum.  Prepares daily briefing of all staff on duty on menu knowledge, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, food promotions and internal news, etc.
• Coaches, counsels, disciplines and develops subordinate employees .
• Conduct billing and cashiering duty training to team.

Skills & Qualifications Required :

• Good Thai and English language skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of individuals.
• Sound administrative ability.
• Able to handle demanding workload.
• Ability to work a personal computer.
• Proven track record in hotel of similar standard in similar capacity in Asia/Pacific.
• Bachelor degree / M6 plus technical certificate or diploma.
• 3-7 years Experience in the position of Restaurant Manager
