Brief job description:

  • Support in all direct and indirect tax reporting and compliance covering income tax, tax estimate, transfer pricing, withholding tax & etc.
  • Prepare/analyze/review the financial data on a monthly basis and support in deferred tax & tax provision closing.
  • Review/supervise functions of more junior staff and provides insight with regard to optimization of internal controls
  • Evaluate reasonableness of assumptions made in tax calculations and determining relevant facts and arriving at conclusion supported by laws.
  • Assist with preparation of statutory reporting/returns, and support in audits/appeals which may include the preparation of responses to various taxing authority notices and dealing or meeting with the respective tax officer as and if required.
  • Advise and attend to queries from stakeholders/business partners where required.
  • Keep abreast of the latest tax updates/developments and analyze/advise the applicability and implications to business from time to time.
  • Other ad-hoc assignment /duties as and if required.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of tax rules, regulations and practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related certification/qualification preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Tax & Accounting is preferable.
  • Experience from Big 4 and knowledge of SAP is preferable
