1. General Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering (Power / Electrical Engineering).
  • Possess a Professional Engineer License (PE) level Professional Engineer (สามัญวิศวกร) or higher.
  • Previous experience in substation/ HV engineering is preferred.
  • Physically fit and able to work in the field.
  • Understanding of high-voltage electrical systems and safety protection systems.
2. Required Technical Knowledge
  • Understanding of high-voltage (HV/MV) electrical systems, including power distribution, transformers, busbars, circuit breakers, relays, CT, PT, etc.
  • Knowledge of protection systems, such as Overcurrent, Differential, and Distance protection.
  • Ability to design and read Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and Wiring Diagrams.
  • Understanding of SCADA, RTU, PLC, and relay settings.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards, e.g., IEC, IEEE, PEA/MEA Standards.
  • Proficiency in electrical simulation software such as ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, AutoCAD Electrical.
3. Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inspect, maintain, and manage equipment in substations.
  • Analyze problems and troubleshoot malfunctions.
  • Participate in the design or improvement of electrical systems in substations.
  • Perform electrical measurements such as Insulation Resistance, Contact Resistance, and Relay Tests.
  • Prepare technical reports and routine work records.
  • Supervise installation or maintenance of electrical systems in accordance with safety standards.
4. Personal Skills and Attributes
  • Detail-oriented and safety-conscious in work.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership qualities and the ability to work in a team.
  • Willingness to work at heights or in remote locations.
  • Possess a valid driving license for fieldwork.
  • Additional training in "High-Voltage Electrical System Operations" is an advantage.
