System Engineer with DevOps

About the role

Castis Corporation is seeking a talented System Engineer DevOps to join our dynamic team.

This full-time position opens also for an intern. (1 Intern position; and 1 Full time position with experience). And also open for a fresh graduate if you can prove you can deliver what is required.

This position shall be in charge of system operation, installation, automation, upgrading and maintenance. The role includes installing and configuring operating systems, setting up RAID storage for reliability and throughput, and fine-tuning Linux kernel parameters to achieve optimal performance.

By combining system engineering skills with DevOps practices—such as automation, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, containerization, and continuous monitoring—the engineer ensures that applications run smoothly, efficiently, and at optimized cost across on-premises and cloud environments.

Job Description (System Engineer – DevOps)

Responsibilities:

• Speaking to and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders, such as clients, vendors, project managers, management and developers during the creation and maintenance of a system.
• Engaging in quality control procedures of software products to ensure that systems are efficient and operational
• Leading project implementation.
• Lead in identification, manage, escalation and management of key issues and risks related to the projects and products, including seeking resolution and execute contingency, action plan to mitigate issues and risks.
• Bridge the gaps between solution development and operation activities.
• Build an application or infrastructure for the project, communicating with developers.
• Build a test and demo system for presentation to internal and external stakeholders.
• System maintenance status and issue report both for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by an effective and efficient product and system maintenance.
• Oversee and assist with the integration of a range of computing systems, resources and devices, making sure that these systems can communicate effectively with one another.

Your Skills and Experience

• Bachelor degree, preferably in computer-related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in software project development.
• At least 1 year of experience as a software system engineer.
• Knowledge about computer hardware, network devices, OS (Windows/Linux/Android/iOS/Tizen/webOS)
• Familiar with DevOps and project management tools
• Proficient at Linux commands
• A good technical documentation skills and eye for detail
• Knowledge about docker, Kubernetes and container-based work flow
