Responsibilities

General

• The Spa Fitness/Yoga/Pilates Instructor plays a vital role in promoting wellness and healthy living within the hotel. This involves leading a variety of fitness, yoga, and Pilates sessions tailored to guests' individual goals and abilities, whether through group classes or one-on-one training. You must stay well-informed on current fitness and holistic health trends, ensuring classes are engaging, safe, and aligned with the hotel's wellness philosophy. Additionally, you are responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment in fitness and studio areas, ensuring proper use and care of equipment, and offering expert guidance on posture, breathing, and movement. Your role is essential in enhancing the guest experience by fostering relaxation, strength, and overall well-being throughout their stay.

Operational

• Provide all guests with a Health Assessment Form.
• Set up the Spa booking systems daily and make and check bookings for the Spa.
• Greet all gym users in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Be competent and confident in the use of all equipment in the gym.
• To offer and provide advice, motivation, and support as required to all users.
• Carry out Fitness Assessments and reassessments as required.
• Carry out gym introductions for hotel guests to ensure safe and effective use of all equipment.
• Structure and record appropriate training programs for Guests.
• Lead Training sessions and Yoga & Pilates classes.
• Carry out daily safety checks on all gym equipment.
• Ensure the gym is ready for operation, turning on equipment, sauna, steam room, etc. Ensure bottled mineral water, towels, juices, headphones are constantly available.
• Assist Receptionist in closing Spa i.e. switching off equipment, preparing lockers, replenishing guest supplies, etc.
• Assist with show rounds of the Spa facilities and the "selling" of private sessions.
• Assist at Reception Desk whenever required e.g. during Receptionist's breaks, during busy periods, when short of colleagues, etc. This will involve meetings, greetings, recording arrivals, answering telephones, taking treatment appointments, escorting clients, preparing and processing bills, etc.
• Attends training courses as required and to assist with the training of new colleagues.
• Always be a willing team worker. Accepts and performs special assignments within or outside his department as requested by the Immediate Head or Management.
• Keeps abreast of all company policies, code of conduct & behavior by reading and understanding all guidelines issued pertaining to such matters; and performing such duties and functions as specified in the guidelines

Qualifications

• To obtain a certificate in any Fitness Course.
• Basic Anatomy and Physiology International Fitness certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Sport and Science.
• Certificate Pilates Instructor (Mat/Reformer/Comprehensive) from a recognized institution
• Certificate Yoga teacher
