Job Description

The Sr. Limit & Collateral Process Officer is responsible for the accurate and efficient processing and maintenance of credit limits and collateral records within UOB (Thai), ensuring adherence to bank policies, regulatory requirements, and operational guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

• Process and maintain credit limits for various credit products (e.g., loans, trade finance, guarantees) in the bank's core systems, ensuring accuracy and alignment with approved credit facilities.

• Manage the setup, amendment, and release of collateral records, including real estate, movable assets, and financial instruments, ensuring proper valuation and legal documentation.

• Perform reconciliation of credit limits and collateral data, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with front office, credit risk, legal, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of limit and collateral-related transactions.

• Monitor and track the expiry and renewal of credit limits and collateral, initiating timely follow-ups and actions as required.

• Ensure all limit and collateral processing activities comply with internal policies, external regulatory requirements, and audit standards.

• Participate in system enhancement initiatives and user acceptance testing (UAT) for limit and collateral management systems.

• Provide training and guidance to junior team members on limit and collateral processing procedures and best practices.

• Prepare and generate reports related to credit limits, collateral utilization, and outstanding balances for management review.

• Investigate and resolve complex operational issues and customer inquiries related to limits and collateral.

Job Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit operations, limit management, collateral management, or a related field within the banking or financial services industry.

• Strong understanding of banking products, credit facilities, and collateral types.

• Familiarity with relevant banking regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., BOT guidelines).

• Proficient in using core banking systems and other relevant financial software.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
