What You Will Be Responsible For

Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya is looking for an Assistant Director of Engineering who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our Assistant Director of Engineering will have the opportunity to shape the hotel guest & resident experience by providing exceptional knowledge and service. This position reports to the Director of Engineering.

JOB FUNCTIONS

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Assistant Director of Engineering in the daily running of the department:

Attends, contributes, and conducts related meetings and trainings – departmental and Hotel as scheduled, and other related activities.

Manages changes in the Engineering department function as directed by Director of Engineering.

Handles guest, employee, and public inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report resident complaints or problems to supervisors if no immediate solution can be found and assures follow up with guests in a timely manner.

Works closely with all departments and stakeholders, handles, and treats all matters in a confidential nature, oral or written with tact and discretion.

Fulfills and acts on oral and/or written assignments, tasks, instructions and orders of the Director of Engineering, as well as other competent officials and authorized representatives of the Company.

Plans and adheres to the Reserve Study (or similar) of the Hotel entity, working directly with Hotel Finance and Director of Engineering to review funding levels of reserve VS anticipated capital projects.

Complies and assures Corporate policies and procedures are followed.

Assists in performing preventive maintenance in the all hotel areas, and private owner units based on legal agreements.

Manages operational and capital expenses as well as accurate forecasting and budgeting required for Hotel Operations.

Manages third party services hired to undertake repairs and maintenance on behalf of the Hotel.

Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.

Be flexible and extends job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and direct reports
• Undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by Director of Engineering.

What You Will Bring

We are looking for individuals who have a solid knowledge of administrative skills. The candidates must have strong work ethic and people-management and facilitation skills. In addition, the candidate must have interpersonal skills, are able to priorities and adapt to the changing needs of the operation.

Must hold the legal right to work in Thailand. Effective Communication skills in both speaking and writing English and Thai is required.
