Overview:

As a Business Analyst – Data & Analytics within HCLTech's Manufacturing Vertical, you will serve as the critical interface between business stakeholders and technical teams. Your primary responsibility is to translate business needs into actionable requirements for the development of advanced data products, analytics solutions, and AI-driven models.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements for data products, analytics tools, and AI models.
  • Develop a deep understanding of business objectives, processes, and challenges to ensure analytics solutions deliver actionable insights and measurable value.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements and functional specifications for data engineers, data scientists, and visualization specialists.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business users and technical teams, facilitating effective communication and ensuring alignment on project goals and deliverables.
  • Work closely with product managers to prioritize and scope requirements, aligning efforts with business value, feasibility, and strategic objectives.
  • Contribute to the testing and validation of analytics solutions to ensure they meet business expectations and quality standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
  • Prepare and update user guides, training materials, and process documentation to support the adoption and effective use of analytics tools.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, contributing to continuous delivery, process improvement, and team collaboration.
  • Support the creation and enhancement of data dashboards and visualizations to provide meaningful business insights.
  • Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team

Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience for 8+ Yrs as a Business Analyst in data analytics, business intelligence, or AI solution development, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of data-driven product development and Agile methodologies.
  • Exceptional skills in requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical specifications comprehensible to technical teams. Proficiency in process and solution documentation, specification writing, and knowledge management.
  • Experience working with data visualization tools and dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) is a plus. Other

  • Agile certification (e.g., Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Business Analyst certifications) is an advantage.
  • Experience in manufacturing domain analytics or digital transformation projects.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application in manufacturing
