Wood is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Construction Lead to join our team for a large-scale challenging construction project. We are looking for individuals with expertise and experience who are ready to take on new challenges and assist us achieve excellence in schedule, safety, and quality.

What makes you remarkable?

  • Establish a working relationship with the GC, AE and provide them with an overview of Google's needs, goals, requirements
  • Monitor that the works are being carried out in accordance with agreed method statements
  • Monitor allocation of construction resources in consideration of relative priorities and to meet the construction program
  • Serve as the central point of contact between the OWNER, contractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure clear and transparent communication
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks (e.g., site conditions, regulatory changes, material availability)
  • Address emerging issues and conflicts promptly, guiding resolution while prioritizing the OWNER's interests

  • Provide recommendations for corrective actions or recovery plans as needed

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical or related field

  • 10 years' minimum relevant experience
  • Experience in Data Center projects will be considered an advantage
  • Good HSES awareness and commitment without any compromise in safety
  • Good team leadership in technical, interpersonal and communication skill
  • Good Problem solving - Ability to identify problems, determines possible solution, and actively works to resolve issues
  • Good Decision making - Knowledge of and ability to use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions and / or reaching conclusions. Ability to take action consistent with available facts, constraints and anticipated consequences
  • Good English language communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment with multiple reporting priorities
  • Willing to work extended hours including weekends
