Job Description:

Position : Production Engineer

Employment Status: 1 Year Contract

Office Location: Phaholyothin Road, Chatuchak, Bangkok

Responsibilities

Production Optimization and Surveillance:

  • Continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize oil and gas production from active wells and reservoirs.
  • Evaluate performance data and recommend strategies to maximize hydrocarbon recovery rates.
  • Conduct well reviews and propose workovers or stimulation programs.

Well and Facility Management:

  • Design and oversee well completion operations and the installation of Artificial Lift Systems.
  • Manage and coordinate routine maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repairs of production equipment and surface facilities.
  • Ensure the integrity and reliability of all producing assets.

Analysis and Troubleshooting:

  • Identify and resolve technical and operational problems affecting production (e.g., fluid flow issues, mechanical failures, water/sand production).
  • Perform detailed engineering analysis using statistical methods and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess performance and define corrective actions.

Planning and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with Reservoir and Drilling teams to develop integrated field development and production plans.
  • Liaise with geoscientists, technicians, and operations personnel to address technical issues and enhance production efficiency.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure all production operations are executed safely and in strict compliance with the company's HSE policies, industry standards, and relevant governmental regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments for operational activities and implement mitigation measures.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.

Experience:

  • Demonstrated professional experience working as a Production Engineer or in a related capacity within the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Experience and knowledge in applying techniques and tools for Production Optimization.
  • Familiarity with various Artificial Lift Systems (e.g., Gas Lift, Electrical Submersible Pumps - ESPs).

Technical Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge of petroleum engineering principles, including fluid mechanics, petroleum geology, and drilling techniques.
  • Ability to conduct Production Data Analysis and perform Well Tests.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and applying critical thinking to resolve operational issues.
  • Good understanding of relevant Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and practices in the petroleum industry.
