EAL Coordinator

Highgate International School Thailand will open in August 2026. A premium international school located in the beautiful province of Chonburi, it will cater for students between the ages of 2 and 18.

Operated in partnership with Siam Motors Group and Highgate School, London, staff will enjoy access to a wide range of world-class facilities, to include a full-sized FIFA approved football pitch, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a 450-seater auditorium, a black-box theatre, a STEM building and a Library and Digital Media Centre. WORKING TIME: Monday - Friday

The English as an Additional Language Provision Coordinator will:

·       Plan, implement and review a comprehensive programme for the acceleration of English language proficiency among student groups assigned to Pre-Prep and Junior School classes

·       Utilise both formative and summative attainment data to identify and support learners requiring additional support

·       Work closely with the admissions team on the assessment of candidates for enrolment and members of the wider school community on the effective integration of learning strategies

·       Foster curiosity, rigour, engagement, enthusiasm, community and kindness among the student population

·       Work in accordance with school policy and in the wider interests of the school

·       Contribute positively to a school culture founded upon the considered maintenance of high expectations

·       Attend regular meetings and support the safe running of the school campus

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

The English as an Additional Language Provision Coordinator will:

·       Hold a bachelor's degree in education and an extended specialised qualification in the teaching of English as an additional language

·       Have a minimum of three years of post-qualification experience as a teacher or coordinator of provision for children requiring support with their English language fluency

·       Have a good working knowledge of language proficiency assessment tools and the English language standards outlined within the English National Curriculum
