In line with our increasing business, we are looking for a Junior geologist to manage, validate, and integrate diverse geological and geotechnical datasets

Job Description

Role Overview

As a junior geologist with geological 3D Modelling skills, you will manage, validate, and integrate diverse geological and geotechnical datasets such as: borehole logs, geotechnical test results, surface geological mapping, and geophysical data to develop integrated 3D geological models, which will support visualization, engineering coordination, and informed decision-making processes throughout the project lifetime from pre-feasibility to construction stage.

The candidate will be expected to spend periods of time in the field or on constructions site to assist the senior geologist in mapping and gathering geological/geotechnical input data for the geological model.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with field mapping, site investigations and geological data collection.
• Collect, manage, validate, and analyze geological and geotechnical data from multiple sources and formats.
• Prepare and structure geological datasets for use in 3D geological modelling workflows.
• Develop and update 3D geological models for visualization, engineering coordination, and design support.
• Coordinate and assist with the provision of geological data to the engineering and design teams.
• Prepare visualizations, Maps, and presentations to effectively communicate geological interpretations to engineering teams.
• Support research and development tasks related to geological modelling and data management, as required.

Qualifications

Qualification

• Bachelor's or master's degrees in Geology, Geotechnology, Earth Science, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of professional experience in geology, geotechnical engineering, or geological modelling; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Strong academic background and practical understanding of geology, geotechnical engineering, and geological modelling.
• Familiarity with subsurface modelling software, particularly Seequent (Bentley) Leapfrog Works or similar geological 3D modelling platforms.
• GIS skills relevant to geological applications (e.g., ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Field Maps) are an advantage.
• Familiarity with Autodesk Civil 3D is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Professional English communication ability
