Who is the Koltiva Aquatic Resource and Standards Specialist

The Sustainability Compliance Specialist Aquaculture is responsible for conducting end-to-end due diligence and risk assessments across the aquaculture supply chain. The position ensures compliance with the ASC Feed Standard and other sustainability frameworks, focusing on environmental, social, and legal risk management.

This role bridges technical aquaculture knowledge with practical compliance execution—supporting certification objectives, supplier engagement, and continuous improvement in responsible sourcing practices.

What are the key responsibilities of the Aquatic Resource and Standards Specialist

  • Conduct supplier due diligence covering environmental, legal, and social aspects.
  • Perform ingredient and supply chain risk assessments in line with ASC Feed Standard requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate risks related to aquaculture management, sustainability, labor, and community impacts.
  • Develop detailed due diligence and risk assessment reports with corrective action recommendations.
  • Maintain and update a verified supplier whitelist aligned with sustainability and compliance benchmarks.
  • Support ongoing supplier monitoring, training, and capacity building.
  • Assist in the identification and evaluation of potential new suppliers compliant with ASC Feed standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve risk management systems and sustainability assurance processes.

What are the requirement of the Position?

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Aquaculture, Marine Biology, Environmental Management, Natural Resources, or Social Sciences relevant to sustainability and social risk.
  • Minimum 3 years in the aquaculture or related sector.
  • Experience in aquaculture management, policy, or production systems.
  • Experience in environmental or social risk assessment.
  • Background in supply chain due diligence or sustainability compliance.
  • Experience in research, auditing, or certification in aquaculture or feed industries.
  • Completion of ASC or MSC aquaculture/fishery training modules (preferred).
  • Knowledge of CITES, IUCN, and national environmental/labor regulations.
  • Understanding of forced labor, child labor, and IUU fishing indicators.
  • Familiarity with ASC Feed Standard
  • Fluent in Thai and English is a plus
