Engineer, Technical Services is responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and after-sales technical support for semiconductor and high-precision manufacturing equipment.

This role works closely with customers' engineering teams, application specialists, and internal service teams to ensure equipment uptime, process stability, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities & Critical Job Outputs

1. Equipment Installation & Commissioning

  • Perform installation, setup, and commissioning of semiconductor equipment at customer sites (fab / backend / EMS)
  • Ensure equipment is installed according to technical specifications, safety standards, and cleanroom requirements
  • Support site acceptance tests (SAT) and handover to customers

2. Troubleshooting & After-Sales Technical Support

  • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues in production and cleanroom environments
  • Respond promptly to service calls to minimize customer downtime
  • Escalate complex technical issues to principals or regional support when required
  • Communicate clearly with customers' process engineers and maintenance teams

3. Preventive Maintenance & Equipment Reliability

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) according to service plans
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify potential risks before failure occurs
  • Recommend corrective actions and improvement plans to customers

4. Customer Training & Technical Communication

  • Conduct equipment operation and safety training for customers
  • Deliver technical demonstrations and usage guidance
  • Provide clear service reports and technical documentation after each service visit

5. Service Revenue & Continuous Improvement

  • Support generation of service income through service contracts, maintenance plans, and upgrades
  • Provide technical input to support sales or application teams when required
  • Share field feedback and improvement suggestions with internal teams and principals
Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Experience or strong interest inSemiconductor / High-Tech Manufacturing equipment
  • Good understanding of troubleshooting methodologies and maintenance processes
  • Ability to work in cleanroom and factory environments
  • Good English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Strong customer service mindset and problem-solving skills
