The role Own end-to-end Thailand tax compliance and tax accounting while partnering with our offshore Shared Service Center and external advisors. You will compute current and deferred tax under IFRS, manage operational taxes, support transfer pricing, and handle tax audits and process improvements with cross-border exposure. Report directly to APAC Manager.

Key responsibilities

  • Own Thailand tax accounting and compliance for CIT, VAT/SBT/IPT, and WHT
  • Compute and book current/deferred tax under IAS 12; prepare provisions, ETR, and disclosures
  • Prepare, review, and file monthly/quarterly/annual returns; ensure timely tax payments
  • Reconcile revenue to VAT/IPT and perform monthly reconciliations of all tax GLs; clear open items
  • Coordinate accurate tax postings, e‑filings, and data integrity with the offshore Shared Service Center
  • Manage Thai Revenue Department audits and queries end‑to‑end; compile documentation and close findings
  • Prepare tax packs and support statutory audits and year‑end reporting
  • Execute annual transfer pricing reconciliations; support intercompany charging and TP documentation
  • Advise on international tax (cross‑border WHT, DTA/treaty relief, PE risk) for regional activities
  • Monitor law/regulatory changes (e.g., e‑invoicing, BEPS/Pillar Two) and implement required updates
  • Improve tax processes, controls, and automation; drive SOPs and tax master data governance
  • Partner with Finance/Legal/Business to review tax clauses, vendor/customer setups, and new products; provide training as neede

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or related; CPA/Thai tax certifications are an advantage
  • 5+ years' experience in Thailand tax (CIT, VAT/SBT, WHT) with proven international tax exposure (DTA/treaty relief, cross-border WHT, transfer pricing)
  • Strong tax accounting knowledge (IAS 12/IFRS), including deferred tax and provisions
  • Hands-on ERP experience (SAP/Oracle) and very strong Excel; comfortable with e-filing portals and GL reconciliations
  • Experience handling Thai Revenue Department audits and statutory audit tax packs
  • Clear communicator who can explain complex tax issues in Thai and English; detail-oriented, organized, and able to deliver under deadlines
