The staff nurse will be based Bangkok, Thailand. ________________________________________ACCOUNTABILITIES:Maintain the highest standards of professional ethics, integrity, and medical confidentiality, in line with UN/WFP policies. Remain consistently accessible and approachable to management and staff across the region, actively listening to concerns and offering guidance with empathy and professionalism.Ensure a secure and private working environment for the handling of confidential medical information. Exercise absolute discretion when dealing with medical issues, fully adhering to the oath of confidentiality and UN medical-data protection requirements.Provide timely and responsive communication, ensuring that all emails, Teams messages, and WhatsApp inquiries are acknowledged within 48 hours. Manage client queries, schedule medical appointments, and respond to requests of a clinical, administrative, or advisory nature.Promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of WFP personnel and their dependents across the Regional Bureau and Country Offices, through vaccination programmes, health screenings, travel health consultations, prevention initiatives, and ergonomic assessments. Support implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Risk Management Framework in close coordination with the OSH Unit in HQ and DHMOSH.Develop, implement, and monitor health initiatives including workplace vaccination campaigns, preventive and precancer screenings, wellness activities, and health-education programmes tailored to regional risks (e.g., dengue, malaria, leptospirosis, NCDs, and heat exposure)Expand and strengthen Travel Health Services in the region, including Cox's Bazar PHC and priority COs. Provide pre-travel consultations, country-specific advisories, fit-for-travel assessments, and deployment health briefings.Lead and coordinate the network of trained Ergonomic Workstation Assessors, ensuring consistent, high-quality ergonomic assessments for RBB-based colleagues and supporting Country Offices to reduce workplace-related musculoskeletal disorders.Ensure consistent, timely, and quality management of medico-administrative cases across RBB and COs.
