Reporting to:  Vice President of Food Operations

Working Days: Work 6 days a week with flexible days off 2 Saturdays per month.

Summary

The Production Division Manager will be responsible for the strategic planning, management, and control of all manufacturing operations across the Processed Meats, Snack Products, and Ready-to-Eat (RTE) divisions. This role requires a strong leader who can consistently deliver superior results in Safety, Quality, Output, Delivery, and Cost, ensuring strict compliance with global food safety standards essential for food production.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Excellence & Performance Management

  • Strategic Planning & Goal Setting: Develop and execute strategic plans for the Production Department that are fully aligned with overall corporate goals and business objectives.
  • Production Planning & Control: Define, plan, monitor, and control all production operations, overseeing the entire process from raw material intake and primary processing through to final packaging and finished goods (FG) release.
  • Performance Accountability: Manage and control operations to achieve aggressive organizational targets for Safety, Quality Assurance, Production Quantity/Output, On-Time Delivery, and Cost Efficiency.

2. Quality Assurance & Food Safety Leadership

  • Global Compliance: Lead the production team to operate efficiently and ensure absolute compliance with international food safety, hygiene regulations, and standards, including FSSC 22000, BRC, HACCP, GMP, and ISO.
  • Specific Hygiene Oversight: Implement and enforce specialized hygiene and sanitation protocols critical for minimizing contamination risks in food production environments.
  • Problem Resolution: Prepare and evaluate detailed production reports, swiftly identify the root causes of quality or process issues, and develop robust corrective action plans.

3. Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization

  • Process Analysis: Analyze complex production bottlenecks and operational issues. Recommend and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall production efficiency and productivity.
  • Equipment & Maintenance: Ensure all production machinery and processing equipment are maintained in optimal working condition. Coordinate proactively with the Maintenance team for rigorous autonomous, preventive, and predictive maintenance schedules.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary operational liaison, collaborating effectively with cross-functional departments including Engineering, Quality Assurance/Control (QA/QC), Warehouse/Logistics, Procurement, and Research & Development (R&D).

4. Team Leadership & Development

  • Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a large production workforce, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.
  • Workforce Development: Design, implement, and track targeted training and development programs to ensure the production team has the technical skills and food safety knowledge required for modern food manufacturing, particularly for sensitive food products.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Science, Food Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical/management field.
  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in high-volume food manufacturing.

  • At least 10 years in a senior managerial or division-level leadership role.
  • Extensive, hands-on experience specifically in the production of Processed Meats, Snack Products, and Ready-to-Eat (RTE) meals is required.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong, demonstrated experience with global quality and food safety management systems such as FSSC 22000, BRC, ISO 9001, HACCP, and GMP.
  • Financial Acumen: Proven ability to manage large production budgets, effectively control operational expenses for manufacturing divisions.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficient in MS Office and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; SAP experience is a strong advantage.
  • Communication: Strong leadership skills, the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, and good command of English (both spoken and written).
