Water Chemist

Responsible :

• Conduct comprehensive quality testing of  Water-Turbidity, TDS, Hardness , COD , BOD, Alkalinity , Chlorine in accordance with plant norms. Timely analysis of water sample to Utility for improving Boiler efficiency, Also to acquire the knowledge of testing of Oils. This includes performing routine analyses to ensure compliance with established standards and identifying any deviations. Utilize advanced testing equipment and methodologies to obtain accurate results.
• Document and report findings meticulously, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accessible. Collaborate with other departments to address any quality issues promptly. Continuously monitor and improve testing procedures to enhance overall quality control within the plant.
• Perform lab work including equipment calibration and record-keeping, ensuring no deviations from the schedule. Meet all requirements and utilize KSS to avoid failures. Additionally, focus on reducing maintenance costs while maintaining operational performance
• Monitoring the Upkeep of Lab and ensure it is up to mark by the auditors. Monitor & maintain the laboratory working environment as per testing accuracy requirement. Ensuring 5S/ Quality Circle activity in Laboratory
• Documentation to fulfil compliance of Global safety standard - Hazard Communication Compliance of OHS:18001 standard requirement Ensuring 100% use of Personal protective equipment for safe working inside lab Imparting of on job safety training. Task observation of workmen during critical job for assurance of safe working.
• Participation in Quality Circle, KSS, 5S & WCM activities and shop floor Meeting.
• Providing training platform for Chemists & Imparting training on various Testing & Calibration Activities. Clarify work procedure on shopfloor.
