Job Description

KPMG Thailand's Financial Risk Management (FRM) banking advisory team advises clients on the development and implementation of risk management policies, systems and controls. The scope of the work covers the full panoply of financial risks, such as credit risk, market risk, operational risk and liquidity risk; economic capital, capital management, stress testing, risk modeling and validation.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the successful implementation of software solutions designed to manage and mitigate financial risks.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, conduct interviews, workshops, and meetings with stakeholders to elicit and document detailed business and technical requirements.
  • Perform gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current processes and the desired state.
  • Analyze data and workflows to understand business needs and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design software solutions that align with business requirements.
  • Assist in creating Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and evaluate responses from software vendors.
  • Support project planning activities, including scope definition, timeline creation, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with the project manager to monitor project progress and ensure milestones are met.
  • Assist in managing project risks and issues, and facilitate timely resolution.
  • Work with technical teams to configure and customize the software to meet specific business requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage UAT activities, including scheduling, test plan, test cases, conducting tests, and documenting results.
  • Build strong internal relationships within Advisory and across other services and external relationships with clients.
  • Develop business opportunities and potential openings with clients.
  • Handle multiple/simultaneous engagements.

Qualification

  • Bachelor/Master's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Relevant work experience (1- 6years) in financial risk management, business analysis, or project management in a consulting firm or financial services sector
  • Profound Knowledge of financial markets, financial risk types, financial regulations and standards, risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • An understanding of regulatory environments and compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and produce relevant insights.
  • Proficient in risk management/risk analysis tools and platforms and common software like Microsoft office, especially Excel, Power BI for data analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving, logical thinking and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Thai, both verbal and written, and the ability to deal effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ambitious, self-driven and outspoken individual who can work under high-paced environment.
